The Class of '96

Tuesday 1st November sees the 20th birthday of Network Marketing, 20 years of #recruitmentdoneproperly and to say we are a little excited would be an understatement. However, we are not the only ones hitting the big 2-0 this year!

Other companies that started in 1996

Paperchase – UK stationery company

Under Armour – global sports clothing label

RBS International – off shore banking arm of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group

Novartis – pharmaceuticals / healthcare

Urban Decay – international make-up and cosmetics brand

Roc-A-Fella Records – Jay Zs record label (subsidiary of Universal Records)

LighterLife – rather controversial, but well known, diet brand

Google – it was first developed this year; they did more work before official launch, but…

Phones4U – well, they have been and gone in this time

‘Things’ that are 20 this year too!

24 hour Tesco stores

Baz Lurhman’s Romeo & Juliet, Independence Day, Jerry Maguire, Mission Impossible & Toy Story

Wannabe (The Spice Girls as a whole actually) and The Macarena (classic tune)

To name but a few….

If there are any major companies, songs, films or things we have missed let us know…we want to hear!

Lynne is our marketing manager and has worked in communications for more than 10 years. A proud Dub, (*Dublin, Ireland*), she has lived in the UK for over 6 years with most of this time spent living in sunny Brighton. New to Leeds, she is learning the Yorkshire way, although it is not diluting her accent at all. She talks about all things Network Marketing and The Book Recruitment, a lot, and via many channels!
